Beatriz is an Associate in our IPMT practice in the Madrid office, focusing in IP litigation, particularly in the fields of patents, trademarks, copyright and unfair competition. Her clients include national and international companies, particularly in the Life Sciences (pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices), Technology, Media and Telecommunications industries.

 

Beatriz is known for her commitment, enthusiasm and diligence in the matters she handles.

She is usually involved in multi-jurisdictional litigation and advices for clients on pre-contentious matters, and has also recently worked on a pro bono project on police accountability and use of force for the UN Special Rapporteur on Racism.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells in 2019, Beatriz worked as an intern in the litigation department of an international law firm, as well as in the legal department of a leading telecommunications company.

Advising and representing a multinational smartphones manufacturer in patent litigation proceedings launched by an NPE, as well as in protective actions before the Barcelona courts during the Mobile World Congress.
Representing a leading multinational electronics and home appliances company in a patent infringement dispute.
Representing one of the world’s major designers and manufacturers of infant products in a patent infringement dispute against a competitor and its distributor.
Advising a global pharmaceutical company in a patent dispute involving potential launch of generics onto the Spanish market.
Advising a U.S. multinational internet sales company on IP, unfair competition and false advertising matters.
Advising a Japan-based pharmaceutical company in a potential patent dispute involving the manufacture in Spain and subsequent marketing in a number of EU countries of a new biological drug.
