Representative experience

Advised Alstom on the disposal of its €12.4bn energy business to General Electric (GE).

Represented PPG Industries in the sale of its European fiber glass operations to glass manufacturer Nippon Electric Glass Co. Ltd.

Advising Koch Industries on the reorganization of its Asia entities following its US$7.2bn acquisition of Molex Incorporated.

Represented world's largest turbine supplier in arbitration and bankruptcy proceedings related to a US$2bn power generation facility in the U.S.

Advised General Electric on the US$9bn sale of the GE Healthcare Financial Services business to Capital One.

Advised Mitsubishi Heavy Industries on its entry into a global JV between Mitsubishi-Hitachi Metals Machinery and Siemens, in the field of metals machinery technology.

Advised on Alstom’s approximately €700m acquisition of GE’s Intelligent Transportation Solutions business and subsequent establishment of JVs in three key energy sectors.

Acted for Maersk in the establishment of the P3 and 2M shipping alliances, the biggest shipping alliance in the world.

Represented a large Asian high-tech company in an ICC arbitration in connection with a post-M&A dispute on purchase price adjustment, representations, and indemnifications.

Advising on Sojitz' investment in, and the project financing of, a marine chemicals project in Gujarat in North-western India.

Advised GE Aviation in connection with a potential contract dispute concerning jet engines.

Advised Sojitz Corporation on the restructuring and potential acquisition of car manufacturing operations in Vietnam.

Represented a contractor on claims involving the design and construction of a chemical plant, one of the Top 100 verdicts of the year.

Advised the UK Department of Transportation on the procurement of the £7bn Intercity Express Programme.

Led patent deal team in one of the most important technology deals of 2015, when major automakers bought Nokia's mapping and navigation business.

Regularly advised a designer and project manager on contract risk management for a major transport hub over several years.

Acted for a major Japanese trading group in London relating to sums due from a Czech state-owned steel products manufacturer under a multimillion dollar loan facility.
