Giovanni Trabucco advises companies and individuals on high-stakes litigation and transactional intellectual property law matters.

His practice focuses on patent litigation, both before the UPC and national courts. Clients have appreciated Giovanni's legal insight and his willingness to dig into the technology at stake – be it a telecommunications standard, a chemical formula, or heavy machinery. In addition, Giovanni has worked on matters concerning trademarks, copyright, designs, unfair competition, trade secrets, domain names as well as regulatory aspects.

Giovanni combines a practical, hands-on approach with a solid academic background. In 2022, he earned an LL.M. in Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship from Cornell Law School (Cornell Tech), as a Fulbright Scholar. More recently, Giovanni completed the Ph.D. program at Bocconi University, with a dissertation concerning the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on patent law.
