Giovanni Trabucco advises companies and individuals on high-stakes litigation and transactional intellectual property law matters.

His practice focuses on patent litigation, where clients have appreciated his legal insight and his willingness to dig into the nitty-gritty of the technology at stake – be it a telecommunications standard, a chemical formula, or heavy machinery. In addition, over the years he has worked on matters concerning trademarks, copyright, designs, unfair competition, trade secrets, domain names as well as regulatory aspects.

In his work, Giovanni combines a practical, hands-on approach with a solid academic background. Before joining Hogan Lovells in 2015, he graduated cum laude from the University of Milan. In 2022, he earned an LL.M. in Law and Technology from Cornell Tech and is currently completing the Ph.D. program at Bocconi University, investigating the impact of AI on patent law.
