Peter Walsh Elected Vice-Chair of The Fund for Legal Aid

Minneapolis, MN, 10 September 2018 – Hogan Lovells is pleased to announce that partner Peter Walsh has been elected to a two year term as Vice-Chair and Leaders in Giving Chair of The Fund for Legal Aid, the fundraising arm for Minnesota Legal Aid. His election puts him in line to assume the role of Chairman in 2020. He most recently served as Treasurer.

Minnesota Legal Aid is committed to the idea that protecting the basic rights of the vulnerable and disadvantaged helps families and individuals achieve self-sufficiency and contributes toward a better community. They work to ensure that everyone has an equal opportunity and equal protection under the law, and The Fund works with policymakers to promote those ideals. Through fundraising initiatives such as the Law Day Dinner and One Hour of Sharing, The Fund’s work dramatically improves lives and helps level the playing field for those seeking justice.

A seasoned problem solver with the unique blend of experience as a public-company executive and government official with significant trial experience, Walsh focuses his practice on investigations, class actions, healthcare, and other complex litigation. Prior to re-joining Hogan Lovells in 2015 as a partner, he served as Chief of Litigation and Government Investigations and Senior Deputy General Counsel of UnitedHealth Group. He also served as a federal prosecutor in Denver, where he obtained convictions in a variety of high-profile securities, tax, accounting, and other economic-crimes investigations and jury trials.
