Advised BB Securities and BNP Paribas in the establishment of the first and second offerings from the Rio Oil Finance Trust, totaling approximately US$4bn.
Advised the Kodak Pension Plan of the UK as co-chair of the Official Committee of Unsecured Creditors in Eastman Kodak Company's US$2.8bn Chapter 11 case.
Advised Novartis on the US$16bn acquisition of GlaxoSmithKline's oncology business and "asset swap."
Represented a Brazilian owner in three parallel ICC cases with claims and counterclaims of US$1.55bn involving the construction of FPSOs and an FPU.
Represented Sprint in a four-patent infringement case involving CDMA cellular infrastructure equipment in the District of Kansas and Federal Circuit.
Achieved dismissal of claims against our client, a major global financial institution, in the U.S. Dollar LIBOR multidistrict litigation.
Advised on the financing for Silver States Solar, a 60MW photovoltaic power station in Nevada.
Advised Mikhail Prokhorov and Onexim Sports & Entertainment on the US$1.7bn purchase of the remaining stake in the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center.
Advised the Republic of Ecuador in its US$2bn issuance of notes and two follow-on offerings totaling an extra US$1.5bn.
Representing the Official Committees of Unsecured Creditors of Abengoa S.A.'s U.S. bioenergy, solar, and EPC subsidiaries in Chapter 11 proceedings.
Obtained favorable final written decisions for patent owner DepoMed in inter partes review proceedings before the Patent Trials and Appeals Board.
Defending a European bank in the New York courts against a class action alleging that London Gold Fixing members conspired to violate antitrust laws.
Obtained a permanent injunction for a Japanese pharmaceutical firm in bench trial in a suit brought pursuant to the Hatch-Waxman Act against Teva.
Advised 21st Century Fox on the agreement to expand its joint venture with The National Geographic Society to create National Geographic Partners.
Advised T-Mobile in connection with a two-year US$500m wireless telephone bill receivables securitization facility.
Representing KaloBios Pharmaceutical Inc. in its Chapter 11 case involving numerous complex corporate governance, securities, and biotech issues.
Represented a Saudi Arabian distributor in a US$125m ICC dispute related to the sale of oil- and gas-related products with an Argentine supplier.
