Hogan Lovells team advises Vexcel Imaging in acquisition of Verisk's image survey expertise and data assets

Silicon Valley, 21 January 2020 – International law firm Hogan Lovells has advised Vexcel Imaging, Inc., a leader in aerial imagery data, large-format aerial cameras, and photogrammetry software, in an agreement to acquire assets from data analytics provider Verisk.

Under the terms of the agreement, the acquisition will combine Verisk’s Geomni imagery surveying and content-related teams and assets with Vexcel. Verisk will become a minority equity owner in Vexcel with full access to all aerial imagery libraries. The value of the deal was not disclosed. The combination of Geomni’s fleet of fixed-wing aircraft and aerial operations, mapping business, and oblique aerial image library together with Vexcel’s sensor business and data program will create the world’s leading geospatial data library.
