Washington D.C., 12 February 2020 – International law firm Hogan Lovells represented Howard University, which operates Howard University Hospital, in a management services agreement with Gaithersburg, Maryland-based health system Adventist HealthCare. Howard University Hospital has served the Washington D.C. community for more than 150 years and is the training hospital for Howard’s College of Medicine, which graduates more African American physicians than any other U.S. medical school.

Adventist HealthCare will provide comprehensive management services to the Howard University Hospital and work with Howard to build a new replacement hospital as part of their overall strategy to serve the health care needs of the community and region. The partnership will also enhance Howard’s ability to train physicians, nurses and other health care professionals through opportunities within the Adventist HealthCare hospital network.

The Hogan Lovells team was led by partners Michael Williams and Cliff Stromberg along with associate Michael Snow and a cross-disciplinary team of colleagues.
