WASHINGTON, D.C. 13 April 2012 – Hogan Lovells announced today that partners Corey Roush and Jonathan Stoel were named among legal newswire Law360’s 2012 Rising Stars, which recognized top legal talent across the United States under the age of 40. Roush, who was honored among leading competition lawyers and Stoel, named among top international trade lawyers, were one of only five individuals recognized within each of their respective categories.
In his profile article, Law360 noted that, “Hogan Lovells partner Corey Roush has scored big wins for health care providers and others facing antitrust claims.” The article adds that, “In 2011, Roush, 39, became one of the few lawyers ever to have tried injunctions in merger cases against both the Federal Trade Commission and the U.S. Department of Justice to judgment in a single year.”
The Law360 profile of Stoel notes, “Based in the firm's Washington office, the 37-year-old partner's practice runs the gamut from advising foreign governments in policy negotiations and international trade disputes to helping major companies challenge U.S. duties in the courts.” It adds that he has “built a strong practice of his own, working for a variety of major companies and earning the admiration of foreign governments in the process.”
Law360 received over 1,000 submissions for its Rising Stars series this year. Winners were selected based on the strength of their accomplishments in their respective practice groups thus far in their careers.
