Hogan Lovells advises MedKitDoc on seed financing in the amount of EUR 7 million

Led by Munich-based partner Nikolas Zirngibl and senior associate Thiemo Woertge, Hogan Lovells advised the Berlin-based start-up MedKitDoc in connection with seed financing in the amount of EUR 7 million. The fresh capital comes from Vorwerk Ventures, Acton Capital, the existing investors Picus Capital and FlixBus founders Daniel Krauss and Jochen Engert. In addition, convertible bonds of numerous business angels were converted into equity.

The start-up, which was founded in 2020, offers a platform for remote medical treatment that combines video calls from doctors with plugged-in medical devices and the transmission of medical data in real time. The platform is in particular geared to elderly and chronically ill patients. The capital is to be used for the further development of the platform and services as well as for the the further expansion of the team.
