Hogan Lovells advises Arm in US$40 billion sale to NVIDIA

Hogan Lovells is advising Arm Limited (Arm), the UK-headquartered multinational semiconductor and software design company of SoftBank Group Corp. and SoftBank Vision Fund, in the US$40 billion sale of Arm to NVIDIA.

The transaction was announced on September 13, 2020 and is subject to customary regulatory approvals. The combination brings together NVIDIA’s artificial intelligence (AI) computing platform with Arm’s vast ecosystem to create a premier computing company for the age of AI, accelerating innovation while expanding into large, high-growth markets.
