Sayuri Mori is an associate in Hogan Lovells’ Tokyo office. Her practice focuses on cross-border intellectual property matters, with a particular emphasis on resolving international contentious and non-contentious patent-related cases.
Sayuri advises numerous companies on intellectual property related matters and represents clients in intellectual property disputes, litigation and transactions in a wide variety of industries including life sciences, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, electronics, and telecommunications.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Sayuri worked at a top Japanese patent law firm where she drafted and prosecuted international patent applications in a wide range of technology areas, including electronics, semiconductors, computer software and hardware, communication network systems, imaging and printing technology, game applications, and medical devices. She advised clients on patent strategies in numerous countries and frequently facilitated multi-jurisdictional collaboration, communication and cultural interpretation. Sayuri also has experience in intellectual property licensing, enforcement, and dispute resolution.

Advising Japanese companies in respect of patent strategies, including protecting and patenting various aspects of their inventions, products and processes to enhance their value.*
Advising on the procurement of key patent rights in respect of inventions jointly developed by multiple entities including corporations, universities, and research institutions.*
