Matthias Siebels focuses on all aspects of patent law and other technical intellectual property rights. He has experience in advising on national and multinational patent litigation, in particular in the field of telecommunications and mechanics. Besides German clients, Matthias advises clients from other European countries, Asia and North America.

Matthias advises on patent litigation before German infringement courts and coordinates parallel litigation in pan-European disputes. Furthermore, he conducts nullity actions at the German Federal Patent Court and on the Federal Supreme Court and advises on general questions of patent law and the valuation of patent portfolios.

Matthias studied law in Münster with a focus on intellectual property. After graduating, he worked as a trainee at Hogan Lovells. During his legal traineeship at the Dusseldorf Court of Appeals, Matthias worked, inter alia, for Hogan Lovells in Dusseldorf and New York as well as for the German Embassy in Singapore.
