Annie is an Associate in the International Arbitration, Construction & Engineering Disputes team in London. Her practice focuses on cross-border dispute resolution and dispute avoidance for clients in the engineering, construction and technology sectors.

Annie has particular experience in helping clients navigate and prepare technically complex and document-heavy cases. She also advises clients on public procurement disputes, having acted for both tenderer and contracting authority in recent high-profile cases in England and Wales.

Annie has acted for clients in mediations, in arbitrations under the LCIA and ICC rules, in litigation in the Technology and Construction Court in London and in statutory adjudication proceedings. 

From January to April 2020, Annie worked as a judicial assistant to the judges of the Technology and Construction Court. Annie is also currently studying for a MSc in Construction Law & Dispute Resolution at King's College, London alongside her professional practice.

Representative experience

Advising a European installation contractor on the resolution of both upstream and downstream disputes relating to a UK offshore windfarm.

Acting for the contracting authority in Technology and Construction Court proceedings regarding the public procurement of its new supercomputer.

Advising a global engineering company facing claims relating to alleged defects in gas turbine equipment.

Acting for a global engineering company in Technology and Construction Court proceedings in relation to the public procurement process for rolling stock.

Advising lenders in relation to an ongoing Technology and Construction Court claim between a project company and local authority under a UK energy from waste PFI contract.

Providing ongoing dispute avoidance advice to an employer under JCT contracts regarding defects, pay less notices, delays and liquidated damages.

Acting for a real estate investment trust in relation to disputes arising out of an hotel project in London and acting in a related adjudication.

Acting for a contractor in an adjudication relating to termination payments under a UK PFI contract.
