Karla Rabasa Armengol
Karla Rabasa focuses on corporate law, particularly mergers and acquisitions. A senior associate in our Mexico City office, she has been a member of Hogan Lovells BSTL since 2014.
Karla has actively participated in acquisition deals and joint venture transactions, including performance of due diligence and preparation of transaction documents. She has also assisted in the formation of transnational companies operating in Mexico and is involved in day-to-day corporate work with clients. Karla also assists clients in preparing and negotiating contracts as part of the company's day-to-day business.
Karla recently participated in the team that assisted Owens Illinois, the world's largest glass container manufacturer, in the US$2.15 billion acquisition of the food and beverage containers division of Vitro (Mexico's largest glass producer) and has participated in other corporate reorganizations and joint venture deals.
Karla is an enthusiastic lawyer who enjoys working with colleagues in other areas of the firm, especially in the due diligence process related to acquisitions deals. She has great experience in leading and coordinating due diligence processes for clients.
Karla obtained her law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico in 2011, graduating with honors. Before joining Hogan Lovells, she spent several years at other prestigious Mexican law firms assisting in the corporate and M&A areas.
