Joseph L. Lambert
Joe Lambert focuses primarily on commercial and construction litigation. His clients have ranged from individual small-business owners to publicly traded organizations.
A seasoned litigator, Joe has broad-based experience representing private and public businesses in commercial and construction-related disputes in both state and federal trial courts. Joe has successfully represented individual business owners, small businesses, high-tech start-ups, sports organizations, and real estate information companies in a variety of commercial disputes, and has also represented owners, general contractors, and sureties in connection with multi-million dollar construction disputes. Joe has served in the role of "lead counsel" in several trials, and has successfully appealed and defended a variety of cases before the Colorado appellate courts, including cases raising issues of first impression in the Colorado state courts.
Although he focuses on litigation, Joe's practice also includes preparation of contracts and "pre-litigation" advice to his clients, including the drafting and preparation of commercial construction contracts for owners and commercial general contractors.
In addition to his extensive commercial and construction practice, Joe has also represented local governments in municipal sales tax, use tax, and land use matters, and has extensive experience in matters arising under the Uniform Commercial Code. Joe has also developed an extensive real estate-related practice, focusing on purchase and sale agreement litigation, easement litigation, and landlord-tenant law.
Joe is also an active member in his community. Joe regularly speaks to professional organizations on new/developing/changing areas of the law, and currently serves as a Director of the El Paso County Bar Foundation in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
