New Era of Offshore Wind Power Projects in Europe, Japan, and the U.S.

Japan is the latest country to pass a new law, “the Act regarding the Promotion of Use of Sea Areas to Develop Offshore Renewable Energy Facilities" (Saiene Kaiiki Riyou Hou), to promote the development of large scale offshore wind power projects.  This global trend will continue for years to come.

This seminar will include insights from practice experts who are currently engaged in offshore wind projects in Europe, Japan and the U.S. We will focus on (a) the lessons learned from the first offshore wind market in Europe and how the latest trends there are shaping the growing international market, (b) the growing opportunities in the U.S. and how to navigate the complex regulatory environment at state and federal levels to build winning projects and (c) how to develop successful offshore wind projects under the upcoming new auction market system in Japan.
