Elena is an associate in the litigation and arbitration department of Hogan Lovells. She has extensive litigation experience in civil and contentious litigation, as well as in public procurement and arbitration. 

Elena has focused her practice on advising on business disputes in matters related to contractual interpretation and performance, with particular experience in large claims, product liability, construction defects, corporate disputes and challenging corporate agreements and malpractice, among others, for clients in different sectors such as medical-health, insurance, real estate, certification, private security, hydrocarbons, transportation, automotive and financial. 

She also has experience in antitrust litigation, particularly in claims for damages arising from antitrust offenses.

Representative experience

Advice to one of the largest manufacturers of medical devices worldwide on various claims in application of the regulations on liability for defective products

Legal direction of numerous procedures related to the real estate and construction sector (construction defects and other major contractual infringements)

Experience in public contracting, advising on a recurring basis to one of the most important providers of medical devices of the Public Administrations

Legal assistance on behalf of the insurer in one of the largest accidents of the history of the Spanish railway

Participation in several national and international arbitrations, including an investment arbitration

Advice to a group of automobile manufacturing companies on claims received as a result of a sanction from the Spanish National Antitrust Agency (CNMC)

Legal assistance in an important liability procedure for corporate administrators in application of the doctrine of lifting the veil

Experience in bank litigation of complex financial products
