Top global technology businesses seek Katie McMullan's advice for strategies to deal with e-privacy matters, including digital marketing, data analytics and cross-device tracking. She focuses her practice on privacy issues. She regularly advises on global compliance programs, cloud-based services, outsourcing arrangements and data transfer solutions (including Binding Corporate Rules and Binding Corporate Rules for processors). She is also involved in public policy matters, advising EU-based and international businesses on the implications of the forthcoming EU data protection legislative reform.

Prior to returning to private practice in 2011, Katie worked in-house as a data protection and freedom of information specialist for the BBC and regularly undertakes client secondments. As a result, she understands business as well as law and uses this first-hand, practical experience to provide real-world, commercial advice to our clients.
