Yasuyuki Shirabe is an associate in the Hogan Lovells Corporate team in Tokyo and has extensive experience in financial services transactions and regulations including investment funds and private equity. He also advises clients on corporate governance, corporate dispute, labor law issues, and restructuring and insolvency issues, as well as wind-downs and liquidation procedures.

Before joining Hogan Lovells, Yasuyuki worked at a major international law firm and advised foreign investment funds on financial regulation including short selling, insider trading, tender offer, procedure under the Act on Prevention of Transfer of Criminal Proceeds, the Foreign Exchange and Foreign Trade Act, and the Personal Information Protection Act, registration of financial instruments business, filing of dealing in private placement of foreign investment trusts, submission of large shareholding reports, preparation of internal rules, and dealing with the regulator regarding financial services.

Yasuyuki was also engaged in negotiation of execution of agreements such as a non-disclosure agreement and a pledgee agreement. He also worked at a domestic law firm and represented a Japanese major financial institution on litigation.
