In 2004, Thomas Frank decided to go for pension law as a focus of legal advice, which is still considered as an exotic practice area in Germany. Since then, Thomas has broadened and deepened his experience by providing daily advice, publications in well-known journals and reviews as well as lectures at conferences, trainings courses and seminars. He one of the few counsels in Germany with a focus on pension law.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Thomas had worked as a lawyer drafting, implementing and amending the company’s' pension plans. As regards the liabilities under such pension plans, Thomas will create solutions with you, be that the liabilities are too high, the liabilities impend to be higher than expected or the liabilities shall not be borne by the liable company and longer. In particular in our international environment, Thomas provides support in numerous corporate transactions and restructurings.
Apart from his legal proficiency, you will also profit from his knowledge of the practice by external pension providers to administrate, to realise and to insure pension liabilities. Thomas studied in Wuerzburg. While working as a research assistant at the University of Wuerzburg, he received a Ph.D.
