Supporting the UN Special Rapporteur to fight racial injustice

We are supporting Professor Tendayi Achiume, the UN Special Rapporteur on Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia, and Related Intolerance, in her efforts to examine issues around regulation of the use of force and the international accountability standards for law enforcement.

A global team of more than 70 volunteers from offices including London, Dubai, Mexico, Munich, Madrid, Brussels, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Luxembourg, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Paris, and Berlin has worked together to conduct a wide-ranging comparative law research project over 12 jurisdictions on police accountability and the safeguarding of human rights, covering both domestic law systems and relevant International law.

The project aims to support Professor Achiume's groundbreaking work to guide member states on best practice and improvements in their procedures to ensure compliance with the International Convention on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
