Miami lawyers recognized for pro bono commitment

In October, our Miami office joined the Dade County Bar Association (DCBA) and Dade Legal Aid in celebrating local pro bono and community leaders at the organizations' awards luncheon.

Alvin Lindsay and the Miami office were recognized by Dade Legal Aid for the summer program introducing summer associates to pro bono, which brings together summer associates from numerous Miami law firms and a number of judges for a great networking and learning opportunity.

Stephanie Carman was also recognized by Dade Legal Aid for her vision of a Leadership Academy to train community leaders and expand Legal Aid's outreach. The Leadership Academy has been a huge success and some of the associates from the Miami office have and are participating, including Victoria Debayle and Paige Comparato.

Additionally, on behalf of the Bar, Stephanie was thanked for her service and wonderful year as President of the DCBA. Stephanie spoke on the importance of Bar committees and the opportunities they provide, and recognized the over 75 committee and task force chairs (including Christy Valdes and Victoria Debayle, members of the team) she worked with as DCBA President-elect and President.
