World-famous brands and influential media creators rely on Brendan Quinn to establish, expand, and enforce their most valuable intellectual property (IP).

Brendan is a go-to and dependable advisor for companies at the forefront how we all live, travel, entertain, and connect with each other. He is skilled at adapting to the specific needs of his clients, whether they are pioneering start-ups and visionary founders or iconic market leaders stewarding decades of brand heritage. For the latter, clients count on Brendan’s ability to act as an extension of in-house counsel by providing reliable, responsive, and business-practical advice. Businesses big and small trust Brendan for his deep understanding of their IP, regularly seeking out his thorough brand and content protection strategies, candid and grounded professionalism, and compelling advocacy.

Brendan collaborates closely with his clients to implement creative and pragmatic solutions that ensure maximum protection of their IP rights in innovative ways. He counsels businesses throughout the lifecycle of their IP – starting from trademark, copyright, and advertising clearance and prosecution, through monetizing and acquiring IP assets in strategic transactions, all the way through enforcement and litigation of these rights before federal courts and government agencies. Brendan’s expansive experience with managing complex cross-border disputes and global trademark portfolios, plus his finesse for protection of non-traditional trademarks such as product configurations, packaging, and sound marks, particularly stands out.

Brendan is a steadfast advocate of pro bono work and received the 2022 Hogan Lovells Pro Bono Trailblazer Award for his dedication to advising international and local non-profits on IP matters. He has also partnered with Lambda Legal and the National LGBTQ+ Bar Association on constitutional litigation and advocacy supporting LGBTQ+ individuals in their exercise of the fundamental right to parent.
