Federico Pappalettera focuses his practice on Restructuring and Special Situations matters. He began his Hogan Lovells career in 2019. 

He graduated summa cum laude with a final dissertation in Corporate and Insolvency Law regarding the real estate investment funds debt restructuring. He gained experience in a major Italian boutique law firm, focusing mainly on restructuring and insolvency related litigation, assisting both Italian and foreign companies. 

As part of the Italian Restructuring and Special Situations team, Federico is involved in negotiation, structuring and drafting of agreements and court briefs, in the context of restructuring, insolvency, distressed related and financing transactions, involving elements of bankruptcy law, corporate law, banking law, and securitization law. He works mainly in the context of transactions involving cross-border elements or foreign Clients. He is also passionate and has in-depth knowledge of special insolvency proceedings.

Advised a pool of Italian banks in the negotiation and execution of certain debt restructuring agreements with a group of Italian real estate companies focused on luxury properties

Advised a leading Italian manufacturer of prefabs buildings in the negotiation and execution of an agreement in implementation of a debt restructuring plan with a pool of leading Italian banks

Advised a leading Italian credit servicer in the negotiation, structuring and execution of certain debt restructuring agreements, in the context of the management of an unlikely-to-pay portfolio

Advised an investment bank in the negotiation, structuring and execution of a transaction aimed at financing and supporting the debt restructuring agreement of a major Italian shipping company

Advised an international investment bank in financing and supporting the debt restructuring transaction of a leading Italian retail group

Advised a global investment fund in the purchase of a portfolio of claims owned by a leading Italian construction company, in the context of a composition with creditors proceeding

Advised a leading Italian investment company in the negotiation and execution of a medium long-term revolving facility renewal and amendment agreement

Advised a leading British advisory firm in the recovery of "trophy" assets vis-à-vis certain Italian bankrupt companies

Advised an Italian real estate company in the negotiation and execution of a debt restructuring agreement with a pool of leading Italian banks*
