Hogan Lovells partner Judge Kevin Carey (Ret.) recognized for his legal career and dedication to charity

New York, 17 October 2019 – Hogan Lovells partner Judge Kevin Carey, who recently joined the firm’s Business Restructuring and Insolvency practice after more than 18 years as a federal judge on the United States Bankruptcy Court, District of Delaware, has been honored by recognition from two organizations.

Judge Carey’s career in bankruptcy law was celebrated by the American Bankruptcy Institute (via The ABI Endowment Fund) on 16 October. He shared his thoughts on a career on the bench and gave his views of the state of today’s bankruptcy practice. 

He was also honored on 7 October by Project Magis, a group of legal and financial services professionals dedicated to helping others in the local community by supporting the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. The Magis Award is given to individuals in the Greater Philadelphia business community who demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness, and humility toward others in the performance of their duties and in their profession.
