Washington, D.C., 26 March 2021 – Cybil Roehrenbeck, a partner in global law firm Hogan Lovells' Government Relations and Government Affairs Practice based in the firm's Washington, D.C. office, has been appointed to advise to the Drafting Committee on Telehealth by The National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (the Uniform Law Commission). Roehrenbeck was recommended for the appointment by The American Bar Association (ABA) Health Law Section.

The Uniform Law Commission promotes uniformity in state law when uniformity is desirable and practicable by providing states with non-partisan draft legislation to bring clarity and stability to critical areas of the law. The topic of this effort is timely: telehealth and other digital health modalities are subject to significant and varied state legislative and regulatory schemes, and the patchwork of state laws governing telehealth has been a subject of debate among digital health stakeholders.

As an ABA Advisor to the Drafting Committee on Telehealth, Roehrenbeck will both contribute her views to the work of the Committee and serve as a liaison to affected ABA interest groups and stakeholders.

Roehrenbeck joined the firm in February and led the Telehealth practice at her prior law firm. She was previously a lobbyist and attorney for the American Medical Association.
