Hogan Lovells advises EB – Sustainable Investment Management and LHI on their acquisition of a windfarm in Sweden

Led by Hamburg partners Alexander Koch and Carla Luh, international law firm Hogan Lovells advised EB – Sustainable Investment Management (EB-SIM) and LHI Group on the acquisition of the Swedish windfarm project Aldermyrberget.

EB-SIM is the initiator of the EB Renewable Energies Fund Europe and advises the fund as investment advisor. LHI is involved with the fund structure LHI Green Infrastructure Invest II. Seller of the windfarm is wpd europe GmbH.

The windfarm with a power capacity of 71 MW and 17 operational wind turbines will make an active contribution to sustainable energy supply in Sweden with an expected energy production of approx. 275 GWh and CO2 savings of 1,308 t per year.  

Hogan Lovells provided extensive legal advice to the buyers during the contract negotiations with the seller and the financing bank, as well as on all merger control issues and due diligence.
