John is a senior corporate and M&A partner in our London office. John has a great depth of experience across many different industry sectors. John has a particular focus on transactions in regulated sectors and spends a significant proportion of his time on transactions in the financial services sector.

John has vast experience advising clients on complex reorganisations and restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments and debt portfolio sales.

His clients include corporates of all shapes and sizes, financial institutions, banks, asset managers, investment firms, funds, private equity and other financial services firms.

Metro Bank on its sale of a £2.5bn residential mortgage portfolio to NatWest

An international bank on its acquisition of the retail banking business of a UK retailer (and associated banking business part VII) and including a long term strategic partnership agreement

Ford Credit Europe on its exit from the provision of retail auto financing in 12 European jurisdictions and entry into forward co-operation agreements with BNPP, Santander, Bank Now and UniCredit

Ford Credit Europe on the sale of its Nordic captive auto finance business Forso Nordic AB to Santander

UK Bank on the acquisition of a mortgage issuer and the associated acquisition of a mortgage portfolio of £2bn
