Jeremy is a partner in our investment funds team who acts for managers and investors on a broad range of funds and transaction types. He has a focus on international alternative asset funds, both listed and private, including infrastructure, private equity/venture capital and private debt. His extensive experience includes launching closed-ended, open-ended and hybrid funds, advising on primary and secondary deals, and co-investments and continuation funds, as well as negotiating separate account and fund of one arrangements.

Jeremy has a particular passion for impact investment and acts for a wide range of international and development finance institutions on their sponsoring of, and investments in, impact funds.

Representative experience

Acting on Infracapital on the launch of a £220 million renewables co-investment fund, investing into Zenobē Energy Limited

Advising a global funds of funds on the launch of its US$200m+ Delaware-domiciled continuation fund investing in tail-end private equity funds

Advising Ventures Platform on its first fund, domiciled in Guernsey, and focussed on venture capital investments in Nigeria and elsewhere in West Africa

Acting for Ventiga Capital on the establishment of several deal-by-deal private equity funds-of-one

Advising Infracapital on the establishment of Infracapital Partners III LP, a £1.85 billion pan-European infrastructure fund

Acting for abrdn, Golding Capital, Hayfin and Lombard Odier Investment Managers on sale of HRworks to continuation fund managed by Maguar Capital, with total equity funding of more than €235 million

Advising a sovereign development bank on its investment in 50+ venture capital, venture debt, growth equity and related funds/accounts over the last 5 years.

Advising a range of development finance institutions (either singly or as consortia) on 10+ of their investments in emerging and frontier market venture capital, growth equity and debt funds

Acting for a leading development finance instiution as manager of a £150m closed-ended sustainable land investment programme funded by a government investor

Advising IFC and Shell Foundation on launch of Africa/Asia focused renewable energy fund, for which we won The Lawyer: Funds Team of the Year 2015.
