Carola is a deputy civil law notary and has a broad practice that encompasses all aspects of commercial real estate. She has significant experience representing private equity, funds, finance institutions and large and mid-sized businesses on commercial property transactions, financing matters, restructurings, auctions, voluntary sell-downs and property loan portfolio sales.
Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Carola spent nine years at two Dutch leading firms. During this time she spent a year in London as Netherlands counsel in international finance transactions with a particular focus on real estate.
Carola graduated from the Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen in 2008 in both notarial law and civil law. She completed the post-graduate course on real estate at the Grotius Academy and is a member of the Royal Dutch Association of Civil-law Notaries.

Advised on the acquisition and disposal of various real estate portfolios (retail, residential, offices, hotels, light industrial, health care, etc.) in the Netherlands.
Advised various lenders on the financing of Dutch real estate.
Advised various borrowers on real estate acquisition and finance transactions
Advised various Dutch banks on foreclosure scenarios, real estate auctions and voluntary sell downs.
Advised on various real estate loan portfolio sales.
