Rebecca Horton specializes in intellectual property litigation, representing and advising corporations on the protection and enforcement of their intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights and patents. 

Rebecca has substantial experience and success litigating in federal and state courts, and advising clients on matters before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). She represents clients in a wide range of industries, from high technology industries to food and beverage companies, insurance carriers, logistics companies, and financial institutions. Her experience spans a variety of technologies, such as software, mobile apps, smart phones, and semiconductor devices.  

Rebecca is sought after for the hard work and dedication she commits to each of her clients. Her critical analysis and strategic thinking allows her to navigate clients through disputes while accounting for broader business initiatives and intellectual property considerations. Having successfully litigated over 20 jury and court trials, she is prepared to represent clients through the duration of a case, be it early resolution or through trial.   

As a result of this work, Rebecca has been repeatedly recognized, including as a Rising Star in Intellectual Property Litigation by SuperLawyers Magazine.

Trial counsel for rideshare company in trademark infringement and unfair competition dispute, successfully negotiating a stipulated dismissal with prejudice after filing a motion to dismiss

Trial counsel for electronic design automation company in trade secret misappropriation and copyright dispute, securing summary judgment and Daubert victories

Advisory counsel for companies in evaluating competitors' use of intellectual property and advising on strategies to protect their rights and effectuate business goals *

Trial counsel for craft brewery in trademark dispute alleging claims of trademark infringement and unfair competition, including moving for a preliminary injunction to cease infringing conduct *

Trial counsel for insurance company in patent infringement suit against non-practicing entity, successfully negotiating a favorable settlement before service of the complaint *

Trial counsel for peer-to-peer ride share company in trademark and copyright dispute against competitor, including filing a motion to dismiss which led to a successful resolution at mediation *
