With a background focused on the intersection of law, business, and sports, CJ Harrington is dedicated to offering strategic legal advice in an ever-changing world. Whether the clients are large corporations considering M&A or joint venture transactions, entrepreneurs trying to start their companies, or sports franchises undergoing a sponsorship deal or salary dispute, CJ's interdisciplinary approach and passion allow him to identify winning solutions.
Before joining Hogan Lovells, CJ was an associate at an elite international law firm, where his practice included international and domestic M&A transactions, secured lending transactions, initial public offerings, and other general corporate and securities matters.
During law school, CJ was the co-President of the Stanford Law Association. He also graduated with a certificate from Stanford's Graduate School of Business by completing its Stanford Ignite Executive Education program.
Representative experience
Airbus on its acquisition of U.S.-based Aerovel and its tactical unmanned aerial system, Flexrotor, designed for intelligence, surveillance, target acquisition, and reconnaissance (ISTAR) missions.
A consortium led by Josh Harris in the acquisition of the NFL’s Washington Commanders for US$6.05bn, the highest value sports franchise transaction in U.S. history.
Michele Kang in building her multi-club women’s soccer organization in purchase of Olympique Lyonnais Féminin.
The Walton-Penner Family on the US$4.65bn acquisition of the NFL's Denver Broncos, the second highest value ever paid for the acquisition of a professional sports team.
