Emily Gibson focuses her practice on corporate and finance matters in the M&A, investment and private equity industries. She began her career at Hogan Lovells as a summer associate in 2020.

Emily’s experience includes drafting and revising complex transaction documents for private equity clients. She has a comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities that the COVID-19 pandemic has had on mergers and acquisitions in the healthcare industry.

Emily is heavily involved in a number of the firm’s pro bono initiatives, including serving as guardian ad litem for at-risk children and assisting in filing humanitarian parole applications for Afghanistan refugees. 

While pursuing a law degree, Emily completed her Judicial Externship at the Colorado Court of Appeals for Denver Judge Matthew D. Grove. While in law school, Emily twice earned a spot on the Dean’s List in the Spring and Fall of 2019. She ranked first place in the 2019 Interdisciplinary Ethics Tech Competition and served as associate editor on the University of Colorado Law Review.

Emily graduated summa cum laude from Texas Christian University in 2018. Her list of honors and activities includes, Phi Beta Kappa, Dr. Gerald Lage Academic Achievement Award, NCAA Division I (Swimming) Academic All-American, and a member of TCU’s award-winning Model United Nations Program.
