Alexandra Bray advises on all aspects of EU competition law, including complex multi-jurisdictional mergers, anti-competitive agreements, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, compliance training and licensing negotiations.

Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Alexandra gained experience in various international law firms in Paris. She also worked at the General Court of the European Union where she gained insights into EU trademarks litigation.

Acting for Google challenging the European Commission's Google Shopping decision on alleged self-preferencing in Google Search before the General Court and the Court of Justice of the EU

Acting for a Japanese electronic component manufacturer challenging an EU cartel fine before the General Court

Securing global antitrust merger approvals for the acquisition of Primetals Technologies by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries

Advising IBM on the global merger control aspects of its US$34bn acquisition of Red Hat

Advising implementers of standards such as GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSPA and WiFi on licence negotiations and litigation across Europe, as well as in arbitration claims

Advising Westerkirk in its acquisition of the Q400 program of Bombardier

Advising a third-party state to the EU in its negotiations to enter into a trade agreement*

Secured Phase I unconditional clearance before the European Commission of the acquisition of OTC medicines businesses by a global specialty pharmaceutical company*
