As part of the firm’s Financial Services Litigation team, Scott Baxter's practice focuses on financial services disputes, investigations and contentious regulatory matters. Scott acts for domestic and international banks, as well as other financial services institutions, and his work regularly involves cross-border issues.
Scott’s experience includes advising clients on a wide range of disputes, including High Court litigation, arbitration, warranty claims, and other commercial disputes. He has also undertaken a nine-month secondment to the litigation team of a leading bank client.
Technology is influencing all areas of law, including litigation and investigations. Scott works with clients to help them understand their shifting risk landscape, as technology disrupts their industries, and helps them to ensure they're maximising the use of technology to mitigate those risks, eg. whether in compliance programmes or through the use of AI in litigation.
