Matthew Bakios advises sponsors and investors on a wide range of private investment funds, including private equity, credit, real estate, venture capital, and small business investment companies (SBICs). He assists established and first-time fund managers with the formation and management of their private investment funds and advises on all aspects of fund formation, administration, maintenance and regulatory compliance, including structuring, governance, and investor relations. He also advises individuals and institutions on potential investments and negotiations with fund sponsors.
While in law school, Matthew was a 1L LCLD Scholar. He also served as an articles editor for The Tax Lawyer, Georgetown Law Center’s tax journal.
