Global Competition Review shortlists our Antitrust and Competition and Litigation teams

Hogan Lovells is proud to announce that our Antitrust and Competition and Litigation teams were shortlisted for Litigation of the Year – Cartel Defence, Litigation of the Year – Non-Cartel Defence, and Behavioural Matter of the Year – Europe by Global Competition Review (GCR).

Our representation in the UK air cargo follow-on is among the nominees for Litigation of the Year – Cartel Defence. The damages claims arising out of the European Commission’s Air Cargo decision are the most wide-ranging competition damages claims ever brought in Europe. In October 2017 the airlines scored a resounding victory in the UK proceedings by striking out half of the value of the claim.

Our successful work for Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island in its monopolization case against Steward Health is recognized for Litigation of the Year – Non-Cartel Defence.

Our representation of Volkswagen Leasing in one of the leading Italian cartel cases for 2017 earned us a spot under the Behavioural Matter of the Year – Europe category.

The polls are now open and will close on midnight EST 20 February.
