Hogan Lovells advises DTEK Renewables on the acquisition of a special purpose vehicle developing a 133 MW energy storage project

Warsaw, 19 April 2024 - Hogan Lovells has advised DTEK Renewables International, part of the diversified energy holding DTEK Group, on the acquisition from Columbus Energy S.A. of a special purpose vehicle developing a 133 MW, 532 MWh large-scale energy storage project in the Chrzanów municipality (southern Poland). The closing of the transaction is subject to the fulfilment of certain conditional procedures.

This is a pioneering endeavour in terms of the large-scale battery energy storage projects in Poland, a key technology in accelerating decarbonisation through the implementation of renewable energy sources.
