Zbigniew Marczyk

Zbigniew Marczyk
English, Polish
Practice Group

Recognised for his focus in the tax aspects of the true-sale securitisation of receivables and other Asset-Backed Securities transactions, Zbigniew Marczyk is a licenced legal and tax advisor combining over seventeen years of tax advisory experience with a deep understanding of his clients’ business. A significant part of Zbigniew's work relates to the effective and tax-safe structuring of receivables securitisation transactions. Because of the considerable number of these types of projects which Zbigniew has participated in, including the first true-sale securitisation of auto loans on the Polish market implemented by one of the Polish banks, he has been able to gain significant knowledge on all the crucial tax aspects of such financing. However, Zbigniew’s professional activity is much wider than only providing advice to the financial sector; his second area of knowledge and experience is advising on real estate transactions including various types of properties such as office buildings, warehouses, shopping centres, hotels, and undeveloped lands.

Zbigniew’s professional picture would be incomplete without also mentioning the tax advice he provides German investment funds investing in Poland, as well as various restructuring transactions including M&As, spin-offs, and the sale/purchase of businesses. In addition to advising clients on their tax matters, Zbigniew frequently gives tax presentations to clients from the financial and real estate sector as well as with respect to tax aspects connected with car fleet management. Zbigniew Marczyk joined Hogan Lovells in 2007. Prior to this he worked as a tax advisor at PwC for over nine years. He is a member of the Circuit Chamber of Legal Advisors, and the National Chamber of Tax Advisors.
