Alastair is a partner in the firm’s corporate practice in London. He has a particular focus on advising international and UK clients in the energy and natural resources sector.

Alastair has extensive experience advising clients on UK North Sea, international and cross-border energy sector transactions, including upstream and midstream oil and gas M&A, joint ventures, long-term and high-value contracts, and major energy projects. 

Representative experience

Prax Group on its agreement to acquire all of TotalEnergies’ operated interest in the West of Shetland Greater Laggan Area oil and gas fields, and the onshore Shetland Gas Plant.

Eni S.p.A. on its sale of a package of onshore oil and gas fields in Egypt to Apex International Energy (a private equity company backed by Bluewater).*

Fotowatio Renewable Ventures on its development of a 34 MW/68 MWh utility scale battery storage project, to be constructed and operated by Tesla in the UK.*

SPE Guinea Bissau AB on its agreement to sell participating interests in the Sinapa and Esperança oil and gas licences, offshore Guinea Bissau, to CNOOC.*

Apache Corporation on its sale of multiple UK North Sea upstream oil and gas assets to Chrysaor Limited.*
