Oscar Tamayo Castaneda focuses his practice on tax and administrative and public litigation. He advises clients on issues related to federal taxes and administrative laws and guides them through auditing procedures and matters involving tax and administrative authorities or jurisdictional bodies.

Before obtaining his law degree, Oscar was already part of one of the largest tax and administrative and public law firms in Mexico, where he participated in litigation challenging the constitutionality of federal tax and administrative laws and resolutions issued by the tax and administrative Mexican authorities. Subsequently, Oscar earned a tax law master's degree to strengthen the firm's tax law practice.

Representative experience

Represented several clients on constitutional litigation related to 2014, 2015, and 2016 tax reforms in Mexico.
Advised and supported value-added tax and income tax audit procedures for several of Mexico's biggest companies.
Advised several clients on tax audit procedures and transfer pricing matters related to tax assessments.
Advised several clients in complaint and arbitration procedures before the Mexican Tax Ombudsman.
Represented several clients in litigation before tax and administrative Mexican authorities, as well as filing annulment complaints before the Federal Administrative Court of Justice.
Represented several clients in litigation regarding amparo complaints filed before federal courts and, if necessary, in legal remedies before the Mexican Supreme Court of Justice.
