Dane Solomon is a senior associate based in our Amsterdam Corporate & Finance practice.
Dane focuses on mergers and acquisitions and general commercial and corporate matters. His experience relates to both listed and unlisted companies, cross-border M&A transactions, private equity transactions, and equity capital markets transactions in a broad range of industries. He also advises on general company law and corporate governance related matters.
Dane is South African law qualified and has joined our firm with effect from January 2023. Prior to joining Hogan Lovells, Dane practiced at a prominent African law firm based in Johannesburg, South Africa, where he gained nine years of experience. In addition to his South African experience, Dane also has extensive experience working in East Africa, focussing on mergers and acquisitions and general regulatory matters in the East African market.
During his career, Dane spent approximately 3 years advising Nestle South Africa as in-house legal counsel.

Advising Tana Africa Capital, a private equity firm, in relation to its acquisition of a minority stake in Kensington Distillers & Vintners Group, an African premium drinks business.*
Advising Imperial Logistics on the acquisition of the Parcelninja business, an e-commerce logistics specialist business, through a multi-step transaction.*
Advising Chep in relation to its acquisition of an enterprise from Paradise Falls Timber, comprising 2 plantations, and all of the standing trees and buildings on those plantations.*
Advising One Thousand & One Voices, a private equity firm, in respect of its investment in Senqu Holdings, a Lesotho based company manufacturing and producing rosehip products.*
Advising One Thousand & One Voices, a private equity firm in relation to its in Higher ED Partners-SA which assists universities with technology-aided learning.*
Advising Royal Investment Managers Proprietary Limited, an investment holding company, in relation to its investment in Visio Fund Management Proprietary Limited, an asset management firm.*
