Sharon Lewis

Sharon is listed in the Women in FinTech 2017 Powerlist, a ranking published by Innovate Finance, the membership organisation that represents the UK's Global FinTech community, and was also named one of ILFR1000's Women Leaders in 2018. Sharon is also listed as a leading individual by Chambers and IFLR 1000.

Committed to achieving excellence in all that she and the firm does, Sharon leads teams on some of the largest and most complex transactions in international debt capital markets, Sharon advises on the full range of capital market transactions, including several industry firsts.

Sharon is the Global Head of our Financial Institutions Sector, having been the head of the firm's Global Finance Practice for four years, the first woman in this role. Sharon advises on the full range of capital markets transactions, including several award winning and industry firsts in debt capital markets, derivatives, securitization, repackaging and other structured products, corporate bonds and equity-linked offerings. She has extensive banking experience, particularly in the fields of structured finance, secured lending, loan restructuring and debt trading. Sharon also has a strong practice in automotive-related financing, insurance-linked securities, energy-related lending and debt restructuring.

Sharon is recognized for her ability to advise on both English and French law, with Chambers commenting that she is 'able to offer immediate solutions'. Sharon is based in our Paris office and divides her time between France and the UK. Sharon regularly speaks at industry events and is a keen supporter of initiatives for women – not only within our firm, but in the wider business-world.

Her interests include jewellery design, and as part of a social enterprise project, she set up Sharon is also a keen supporter of the French AFM-Téléthon, organised by the French association against neuromuscular disease which raises funds for research projects into rare genetic diseases.
