Hannah Schofield's practice is predominantly concerned with multi-jurisdictional patent litigation across the technology, media, telecommunications and life sciences sectors. Her main focus is advising clients on both assertion of patents and defence against infringement claims. She has also been involved with various non-litigious matters, including advising on patent assignments and assisting with IP-related due-diligence.

Hannah has also been involved in pro bono work. She successfully represented a client in a compensation claim for Personal Independence Payment.

Hannah trained at Hogan Lovells, undertaking seats in Real Estate, Intellectual Property, Banking (during a six-month secondment to the Hong Kong office) and the Tech Hub. Her work in the Tech Hub involved advising on emerging laws around disruptive technologies, regulation of cryptocurrency and SaaS agreements.

Hannah graduated from the University of Warwick with a First Class Honours degree in Management. After qualifying as a lawyer, Hannah completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice at the University of Oxford, achieving a Distinction.

Acting for a multinational pharmaceutical company in a patent dispute concerning its products.

Representing an international aircraft equipment supplier in patent infringement and invalidity proceedings relating to aircraft power supply systems.

Acting for Vodafone in UK High Court litigation against IPCom concerning infringement and validity of standard essential patents.

Representing Olaplex in its litigation with L'Oreal.

Acting for a global aerospace and defence company in a dispute concerning contract and licence issues, as well as breach of confidence and breach of copyright. 

Representing a major network operator in a case concerning patent infringement and confidential information claims, as well as jurisdictional issues.

Acting for a pharmaceutical company in a patent dispute concerning its overactive bladder drug.

Representing a global telecommunications company in UK litigation concerning standard essential patents, including coordination across multiple jurisdictions.

Advising on a royalty revenue stream purchase for a multi-jurisdictional patent portfolio relating to a pharmaceutical product.
