Touch Towers of Charitable Giving

In June, our Northern Virginia office hosted a successful fundraising campaign to benefit social entrepreneurs affected by disability through Lendwithcare, our global Touch charity's microfinance program. The fundraiser involved a Lego-tower building competition between the East and West sides of our office, in which each donation purchased a “brick” (Lego) to contribute to the relevant tower’s Lego-structure.

Through this feisty but friendly competition, our office was able to make a sizable donation – over US$2,200.00 with the firm’s match – to our global charity partner. The winners of our competition were allowed to wear jeans to work for a full week!

The idea for this innovative Lego-building fundraiser came from a member of our Washington, D.C. office, and it was implemented there in 2013 before catching on in Northern Virginia.
