Tools for success

Through our Backpacks for Kids program, we purchase essential school supplies for children in need to help them be successful in the classroom.

On average, American parents spend over US$100 on these items each fall – per child. This expense can be hard for many families to manage. This year, 1,000 backpacks were hand-delivered – filled with crayons, erasers, folders, notebooks, pencils, scissors, rulers, and more – to 10 deserving area schools in Washington, D.C.; Northern Virginia; and Baltimore.
