Celebrating the Lunar New Year

Sixteen Hogan Lovells offices around the globe celebrated the Lunar New Year with a red envelope raffle to benefit our global Touch charity partner, CARE International, and its Lendwithcare microfinance program. Just over £7,800 (US$13,000/€9,500) was raised for Lendwithcare's entrepreneurs.

Exchanging red envelopes filled with money is traditional during the New Year celebrations to ensure wealth and prosperity for the coming year. Instead of money, our envelopes were filled with prizes and some contained entry tickets into the global raffle draw.

The Alicante, Amsterdam, and Hong Kong offices also held parties to welcome the Year of the Horse. In addition, the Moscow, Hanoi, and Ho Chi Minh City offices ensured that all members of their office could enjoy the New Year by providing prizes for everyone who participated.
