Cambodia cycling challenge

Twenty brave and sporting members of Hogan Lovells Lee & Lee and some of the firm's most valued clients from ANZ, BNPP, MUFG, Standard Chartered and Westpac undertook an adventurous, challenging, and charitable 200km sponsored cycle.

The route went along the Mekong River – from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap – home of the ancient temple complex of Angkor Wat.

The team tackled a 95km off-road mountain bike cycle on day one, from the Silk Island and along the banks of the Mekong River to Kampong Thmor market. Day two involved the final 105km off-road cycle, starting at Kampong Kdei – the Ancient Bridge – cycling past the Beng Mealea temple and then on to Siem Reap to complete the challenge. With the firm's charitable matching policy, the challenge raised over SGD $68,100 for Singapore's Alzheimer's Disease Association (ADA).

The ADA is a voluntary welfare organisation made up of caregivers, professionals and those who are interested in dementia. They provide day care for people with dementia, as well as services such as counselling, support groups, information and referral, public education talks, and training and workshops.
