Bringing a Happy Halloween to Underprivileged Children

In celebration of Halloween, our New York and Baltimore offices led efforts to ensure local, underprivileged children would have an enjoyable holiday. 

Our New York office hosted a “Halloween Hair-Raiser” party for 60 children and their parents from Sanctuary for Families, a pro bono client and our New York office’s local Touch charity.  Our employees decorated the office, transforming conference rooms into wonderfully fun and frightening entertainment areas for the children. Most of the decorations were donated by employees for this event.

The children and their parents were greeted at the ornamented lobby desk by our receptionist wearing a witch’s costume and escorted by our scary-looking staff members to the Halloween-themed conference rooms. The children decorated desserts, played games, and enjoyed trick or treating throughout our designated work stations.

Sanctuary for Families is New York’s leading service provider and advocate for survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and related forms of gender violence. In addition to the festivities, our New York office donated 40 Halloween costumes to the affected children. 

In Baltimore, our office donated an additional 25 costumes to underprivileged children at Sarah’s Hope, a full-time shelter for women and children in Baltimore City with whom we also partner locally under our Touch program.  The office encouraged employees to donate or bring in a costume, and because of those proceeds, each child at Sarah’s Hope was able to receive a costume.
