Hogan Lovells wins important victory for client Republic Airline in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District Columbia Circuit

11 January 2012

Aviation and Surface Transportation Alert

The D.C. Circuit overturned and vacated a 2010 decision by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) withdrawing two valuable airport "slots exemptions" held by client Republic Airline at Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, finding DOT's decision to be "arbitrary and capricious."
D.C. partner Chris Handman argued the case. D.C. partner and Aviation practice lead Bob Cohn, and D.C. counsel Patrick Rizzi led the effort before the agency, and assisted on the brief. D.C. associate Dom Perella was the principal drafter of the appellate brief.
